So sorry to hear of Felicia's passing as I've known her since grade school at St. Hyacinth. I hadn't seen her in some time until I ran into her while shopping for garden plants. RIP friend!

Rose Corcoran Smith had her surgery today. I heard some encouraging news.  The surgeon was able to remove 80% - 90% of Rose's tumor.  Continued prayers are requested.

Here is the complete update on Rose's surgery from yesterday.

Rose is out of surgery and the doctor just called us in for a consultation. They were unable to do the traditional and complete Whipple procedure. However, they were able to remove the artery from the tumor and they used a procedure called IRE which electrocuted about 80 to 90% of the tumor. She’s not going into ICU-She’s going to a regular room. We will be able to see her in another hour or so. All in all, the doctor was very pleased.

Thanks you, Paul for the update on Rose.  So glad they were able to move the artery; think that was a big step!

The road ahead will not be real easy Rose but the progress report sounds promising, so keep on fighting.  By the way Felicia Jasinski Sobczak was not a relative of mine as far as i know.  At least one classmate did ask me however.

Paul, thank you. Wish I could fly there from Texas to visit her. The operation must have been easier on her than it sounds.

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes!  Who would've thought we'd ever see this age. Thankful we wake everyday.

I just received word from John Szychowski's sister, Carol, that John suffered a mini stroke yesterday (Friday, March 29) and is currently at the Veterans' Hospital in Ann Arbor. An MRI showed a small blood clot on the left brain, and it caused him to lose the use of his right hand. The doctor told him that it was good he got there early.  He also told Carol that he is having surgery next week, but he wasn't specific about what type of surgery. Please keep Pie Man in your prayers and I will try to keep the class updated as I receive more information.
Paul
